Bearing in mind the Knights current form it sounds ridiculous, but Newcastle has a very do-able run for the remainder of the regular season. Over the last 5 rounds of the comp Newcastle’s toughest assignment will be their clash with 6th placed finals phonies Parramatta.
This week the Knights travel to Sydney’s western suburbs to take on the aforementioned phonies. If Newcastle are to win they’ll have to buck an alarming five game losing streak and deal with Parramatta’s formidable home record at the new Western Sydney Stadium (Bankwest Stadium).
The big on-field match up is between the home team’s young half Mitchell Moses and Newcastle’s out of form number seven Mitchell Pearce. Pearce will know that he is second only to coach Nathan Brown in responsibility for the team’s performance this year. If he can turn the corner this weekend the Knights have a very good chance of rescuing their season.
